“Sileks Banka” Plc. Skopje was established on December 5, 1992. In September 2001, “Zemjodelska Banka” Plc. Skopje was merged into “Sileks Banka” Plc. Skopje. At the end of 2007, “Central Cooperative Bank” Plc. Sofia purchased 35,000 shares, acquiring 15.40% of the capital of “Sileks Banka” Plc. Skopje. According to the Law on the Acquisition of Joint Stock Companies, CCB Plc. Sofia purchased an additional 136,658 shares and on February 28, 2008 became the owner of 171,658 shares, thus becoming the majority shareholder with a participation of 75.51% of the capital of “Sileks Banka” Plc. Skopje. At the end of 2008, “Sileks Banka” Plc. Skopje changed its name to “Central Cooperative Bank” Plc. Skopje.
Following the implementation of a private offer for 93,038 shares, the participation of CCB Plc. Sofia in the capital of “Central Cooperative Bank” Plc. Skopje increased and by December 2009 amounted to 82.63%.
On April 6, 2010, CCB Plc. Sofia acquired 93.72% of the capital of “Stater Banka” Plc. Kumanovo. “Stater Banka” Plc. Kumanovo is the legal successor of “Komunalna Banka” of the Kumanovo region, established in 1955. Since 1966 the Bank operated as “Komercijalna Banka Kumanovo,” and since 1968 as “Komercijalno–Investiciona Banka Kumanovo.” Several years later, the Bank became a branch of “Stopanska Banka” Skopje, and was later transformed into “Stopanska Banka – Primary Bank Kumanovo.”
On January 31, 1990, a decision was made to establish “Stopanska Banka” Plc. Skopje, whereby “Stopanska Banka – Primary Bank Kumanovo” became the Main Branch of “Stopanska Banka” Plc. Skopje.
Due to the restructuring of the banking system in Macedonia, on June 14, 1995, “Stopanska Banka” Plc. Skopje, Main Branch Kumanovo, was transformed into “Komercijalno Investiciona Banka” (KIB) Plc. Kumanovo, with the transfer of the founders’ capital deposits from “Stopanska Banka” Plc. Skopje, Main Branch Kumanovo, to “Komercijalno Investiciona Banka” Plc. Kumanovo.
On July 1, 2008, Komercijalno Investiciona Banka Plc. Kumanovo changed its name to “Stater Banka” Plc. Kumanovo and was fully privatized through the purchase of 312,647 shares, representing 92.18% of the Bank’s shares, by Milestone Ltd. of Iceland.
In April 2010, “Central Cooperative Bank” Plc. Sofia, Republic of Bulgaria, became the majority owner of “Stater Banka” Plc. Kumanovo. On January 3, 2011, “Stater Banka” Plc. Kumanovo merged into “Central Cooperative Bank” Plc. Skopje.

CCB Plc. Skopje has a full license issued by the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia to perform all types of banking activities:
Approval of loans to individuals and legal entities;
Acceptance of deposits in national and foreign currencies;
Executing payment operations within the Republic of Macedonia and internationally;

The Bank operates through 5 branches, 23 branch offices and 1 cash desk on the territory of the Republic of Macedonia – in Skopje, Kumanovo, Ohrid, Kratovo, Probistip, Stip, Resen, Tetovo, Gevgelija, Veles, Bitola, Strumica, Kriva Palanka, Kavadarci and Prilep.

Market position
According to the classification made by the National Bank, banks in Macedonia are divided into three groups according to total assets: large (assets over 55.55 billion denars), medium (assets between 13.8 and 55.55 billion denars), and small (assets below 13.8 billion denars). At the end of 2024, CCB Plc. Skopje belonged to the third group of banks, with total assets of 13.06 billion denars.
Card payments
“Central Cooperative Bank” Plc. Skopje issues domestic cards, Visa, and MasterCard cards. As domestic products, the Bank offers Star Card credit cards for individuals and Business Card credit cards for legal entities. These cards can be used only within the Republic of Macedonia for cash withdrawals at ATMs and bank counters and for retail purchases.
On February 3, 2012, the Bank received a Principal Member license from MasterCard Worldwide and, since November 2012, has issued Maestro debit cards and MasterCard Standard credit cards for individuals, as well as MasterCard Business credit cards for legal entities. Since February 2014, the Bank has also issued MasterCard Gold credit cards for individuals. Additionally, since March 2016, the Bank has issued Debit MasterCard contactless debit cards for individuals. These cards can be used worldwide wherever the MasterCard logo is accepted for cash withdrawals and retail purchases.
In accordance with the license obtained from Visa International on October 4, 2010, CCB Plc. Skopje is an Affiliate Member of Visa International, with Halkbank Plc. Skopje as the sponsor bank.
The Bank issues Visa Electron debit cards and Visa Revolving credit cards for individuals, as well as Visa Business Card credit cards for legal entities.
